Growing Change Initiative

The next generation of growers carries the hope of a more ecological and nourishing food system.

An initiative by the Market Gardener Institute and Growers & Co.

Our mission

Growing Change: cultivating food resilience

We identify and support ecological market gardeners to transform precarious projects into viable, lasting organic farms. Through cutting-edge knowledge transfer, soil regeneration, and operational efficiency, we create pockets of food resilience across Canada.

How we support ecological farming changemakers

A comprehensive program built on three pillars

01

Knowledge transfer

Full access to the Market Gardener Masterclass and personalized field mentorship with experts in biointensive agriculture.

02

Financial and material support

A direct grant, a specialized Growers & Co. tool set, and a Tessier caterpillar tunnel to get through the critical first seasons.

03

Educational outreach

Production of farm documentary portraits and educational video content to inspire the next generation of growers.
